Abstrak: Pemetaan semula batuan igneus di dalam Pluton Berangkat, Kompleks Stong menunjukkan bahawa batuan boleh dibahagikan kepada tiga unit dikenali Monzodiorit Sg. Lah, Granodiorit Bertam dan Tonalit Dabong. Pembahagian ini dilakukan kerana setiap unit adalah berbeza dengan jelas dari segi jenis dan taburan batuan di lapangan, petrografi dan geokimia. Monzodiorit Sg. Lah yang merupakan unit teras jasad pluton terdiri daripada monzonit hingga monzonit kuarza, berporfir jelas dengan megakris K-feldspar tertabur rawak dan berwarna kelabu gelap. Granodiorit Bertam merupakan unit batuan yang paling dominan dan berwarna kelabu cerah hingga gelap, berporfir sederhana dan berbutir sederhana hingga kasar. Tonalit Dabong dijumpai sebagai jasad terasing dan tersingkap secara setempat. Ia berada di timur laut Pluton Berangkat dan terdiri daripada tonalit-granodiorit biotit-hornblend berbutir sederhana kasar, bertekstur sama saiz butiran, berwarna kelabu cerah dan menunjukkan pengaturan mineral yang baik. Kesemua unit batuan ini terkelas sebagai batuan metalumina dan siri shonsonit. Ia ditafsirkan berasal daripada asalan magma yang sama.

Subdivision of rock units of the Berangkat Pluton, Stong Complex, Jeli Kelantan based on field study, petrography and geochemistry 

Abstract: The Berangkat Pluton of the Stong Complex can be divided into three units, namely Sg. Lah Granite, Bertam Granodiorite and Dabong Tonalite. The subdivision is based on distinct differences in rock type and distribution, petrography and geochemistry. Sg. Lah Monzodiorite is the core of the pluton and it consists of monzonite to quartz monzonite, has good porphyritic texture with random distribution of K-feldspar and is dark grey in colour. Bertam Granodiorite is the dominant rock unit and is light grey to dark grey in colour. It is moderately porphyritic and medium to coarse-grained. Dabong Tonalite occurs as a localized isolated body. It is found at the northeast of Berangkat Pluton and consists of medium-grained biotite hornblende tonalite to granodiorite. It has isogranular texture, light grey in colour and alignment of minerals is well developed. All units are classified as metaluminous rock and belong to the shonshonitic series. They are interpreted to have crystalized from one magma source.
