Abstract: Gravity and magnetic traverses were conducted along two logging tracks in the vicinity of Kuala Betis area, Kelantan. The traverses run almost perpendicular to the regional NS strike and lithological boundary of the Triassic and Palaeozoic rocks in the study area. The gravity and magnetic profiles indicate the presence of a few kilometre wide anomalous zone at the boundary between the two rock types. This feature could be related to the suture zone of the Malay Peninsula or widely known as the ‘Bentong Suture‘.
