Abstrak— Satu kajian telah dilakukan bagi menilai status kelestarian pembangunan sumber batu kapur di Negeri Perak. Kerangka penilaian telah dibangunkan berdasarkan kepada konsep integriti ekosistem. Maklumat yang diperolehi daripada penganalisisan dan pengsintisan data telah membantu dalam mengenalpasti beberapa penunjuk untuk menilai tahap kelestarian. Penunjuk tersebut berhubung dengan sumber, operasi, produk dan aspek alam sekitar. Hasil awalan menunjukkan beberapa keterbatasan dalam kelestarian pembangunan sumber batu kapur di Negeri Perak.
Abstract— A study has been carried out to assess the sustainability of limestone resource development in the State of Perak. The evaluation framework was developed based on ecosystem integrity. Information generated from the study was synthesized to delineate several indicators of sustainability. The indicators relate to resources, operations, products and environmental concerns. Preliminary results reveal several limitations to the sustainability of limestone resource development in the State of Perak.
